So, being a global citizen is also to exchange culture. Marisa Monte is one of my favourite Brazilian singers. In this song she talks about the rain in a place of our country where is very dry (called "Sertão") and people don´t have water. And the song brings also regional sounds mixed with Berimbau, an instrument from Capoeira. I holp you enjoy it!

thank you ziza for the video: it is very interesting, expecially because I think that Cultures can meet first of all through the knowledge of what they have in common, and the language of music is universally understood...
I think, like Annamaria, that music could surely be a powerful cohesion's element between different realities...
The problem of rain and drought (and all social consequences) is something really experienced also here in Sardinia, especially until some year ago...
Yes! I grew up listening to Pepino Di Capri, Rita Pavone, Gigliola Cinquetti etc. My mother loves that song Tornerò! "Rivedo ancora il treno allontanarsi e tu..."
ooh... wonderful! Very good... ;) it's very interesting to listen the history of an imigrant throughout his memories, oftentimes frapped to a song...
