The IP on “Education for a Global Citizenship" aims to provide knowledge about relevant themes such as democracy, rights and freedoms, the World and Europe current affairs and politics, as well as skills such as competence for active participation or intercultural communication; it also pretends to work on attitudes towards democracy or difference, providing the opportunity to explore values, identity and senses of belonging to the community of choice, and to transform the reality.

2008 is the Year of the Languages, by Unesco! I think this is a very important point to discuss, mainly for those countries that have Portuguese as official idiom. Lusofonia is an example of rich cultural case and we have to learn how to grow with this opportunity given by so different people around the world. Regards!
