I have a Question...don´t you ?

Actually, I have many questions and I would like to hear from you, starting here that desirable intercultural dialogue...
Are there possible answers or different questions related to our latest days topic?

Here are mine:

Is the idea of Global Citizenship as global as globalization?

How is it possible to extend this concept worldwide considering our sociocultural global diversity?

See you!

I don't thonk that it is as global as globalization. Globalization is more likely to promote the powerful cultures and countries, product like MTV and Coca Cola.
global citizenship is more different than this. In my opinion, it starts with self-actualization, then respecting the cultures and people around you. It finalizes with the idea of collaborating the local and global values with respect to understanding each other. Sorry for my Broken English.

Hey Fabiana! I "stay" with the theory we have learned in our class today based on Rawls ideas, that it is not possible to have a global citizenship while we do not have equality. Te cuida, mulé, valeu!

I agree with Fabiana because now is important to consider the relation between local and global so the comprension depends on the different aspects. but i think that the idea of globalization is not so clear, i suggest to read the book of Ulrich Beck about it, is very interesting!!!!

Professor Priamo, when you have time, if you can write a post about it on the perspective from Ulrich Beck would be great. I do not understand this concept as an idea defined, but in many perspectives and in constant construction. I will try to find the book (Beck, Ulrich (1999) What Is Globalization?. Cambridge: Polity Press). Thanks.
